Scope of the conference
The next MEC2025 Conference is organized as a connected conference consisting of the International Conference on Non-ferrous Ore Processing (ICNOP), the International Conference of Mineral Processing and the Symposium on Physicochemical Problems of Mineral Processing.
The MEC 2025 Conference is organized by Foundation of Students and Graduates of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow “ACADEMICA”, AGH University of Krakow, Wroclaw University of Technology, Silesian University of Technology, KGHM CUPRUM Research and Development Center, Lukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Gliwice, KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and Association of Non-ferrous Metals Engineers and Technicians.
Topics of the conference
The annual minerallurgical community aims to promote effective cooperation between science and business. Participation in the Conference provides a great opportunity to present and discuss the results of theoretical research and their practical applications in all aspects of mineral engineering. The MEC2025 conference covers the following topics:
- resources recycling and recovery
- analytical techniques and applied mineralogy
- automation and process control sampling
- comminution, classification and sorting
- separation (magnetic, electric, gravity, froth flotation)
- hydro and biohydrometallurgy
- extractive metallurgy
- modification of mineral properties
- environmental aspects of mineral processing
- other mineral processing related subjects
Call for papers
The conference presentation can be delivered in either oral form after acceptance by the Organizing Committee. The presentation should deal with widely understood mineral processing, recycling of raw materials and physicochemical aspects of minerallurgical, biometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes and ecology issues related to the scope of the conference. Abstracts of all presentations will be gathered and distributed in an electronic form among conference participants. Full participation includes up to 2 abstracts in the Conference proceedings and allows two oral presentations. Young scientists (below 35 years of age) will be awarded for best paper.
We encourage you to submit presentation proposals in the form of abstracts. Please send abstracts in Polish and English, containing the title and authors, to: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/78619/submitter.
Conference venue
VIII Mineral Engineering Conference MEC 2025 will be held at the Kocierz Resort in Targanice. Hotel is situated at 750 m above sea level, at the top of the Kocierska Pass, and around 257 km/km of the Beskid Mały Landscape Park. The hotel windows overlook a unique view of the beautiful places in the Silesian Beskid. Surrounded by Beskid forests, this place is completely absorbing. You can draw energy from the proximity of nature, clean air and unique views.
Check-in starts at 16:00 (however the rooms might be ready earlier, depending on availability) and closes at 11:00 on the day of departure.
